update

So Bethany is an offical walker soon to be runner. She is growing up so fast.
Bethany likes playing tea party and likes to cook in the kitchens both grandparents have at their houses. She recieved a slide for Christmas and has fun slidding down it. I think this will be a great reason to go outside come spring. Right now it is stored in the sunroom and we carry it out to the living room every so often.
Bethany has learned a few more words recently and can say "done" and "here" with success. She has been saying Corry more and more when talking about our dog. Hopefully soon we will be able to tell when she is talking about other things that currently sound like daddy. Right now it all sounds the same. She still talks to herself in her own language that we refer to as the "dickle dickle" language because she says random variations of "dickle dickle" as she is talking.
While she may be as cute as a button she also has a wicked temper.
If anyone has any tips on how to help her stay calm leave a comment. I would love to hear any ideas. For now I try to talk to her and say something like " I understand you are upset but please do not scream" Sometimes this works sometimes not. When she gets really upset she balls up her fists, shakes and screams. It is actually kinda funny to watch.

I am including a few pictures to showcase her growth. These are purely random and encompass the last few months.

A rare family picture. This was taken at Reba's graduation. Congrats again Rebekah!

Bethany loves to pretend to blow her nose. It is so cute. She even sometimes succeeds to get something out. Now if she would only do this instead of picking her nose. When I can catch her in the act I will post a picture of that too.

Not a huge fan of the snow just yet. Hopefully when it's warmer this weekend we can get her out again and see what she thinks.

Bethany and her friend Lucie playing in Lucie's bed. Bethany learned how to jump on the bed from Lucie.
This is one of my favorite Zoo pictures. Our local zoo has a huge penguin display with a bubble to look into it from the side. Bethany loved watching the pengiuns swim around her.

Holiday confusion

Silas and I are still trying to figure out what to do about the holidays this year. With Halloween fast becoming a "tradeable" holiday it's becoming clear we need a plan. If there is anyone actually reading this blog feel free to leave a comment with what works for your family.
So far it's been a mess of dinner here/ dessert there, GO here for the morning drive here for the day and then back home to crash from exhaustion. With a baby in tow who is more and more of a handful we really need to figure something out.
Here's to wishful thinking.

11 days to go

Vintage Bethany. Here is a picture from her one month "photo shoot" It's hard to believe I was taking these pictures so she could at least wear this cute onsie at least once before she grew out of it. She was grwoing so fast then. Now a days she is long in the torso and short in the legs.

11 days to go.

Adventures in Tulle

We now have choices for Bethany's birthday and Halloween. The original tutu was too full and too long for Bethany so I took it apart and made a second shorter tutu. I also was able to make a hairbow. I haven't been able to try the small tutu or the bow on Bethany yet so we shall see what she thinks tomorrow. Pictures to come hopefully.

Bethany is getting so big.

Today all I can think of is that in a few short weeks Bethany will be a year old. Where did that time go? It's crazy to think.
Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks.
Playing with daddy's Paintball Marker. She seems to enjoy exploring his toys as much as her own!
Bethany in her pj's getting ready for bed.

Mowwing on some Teddy Grahams with Grandma M. Bethany got hungry after a hard afternoon looking cute for JJ and Andrea's wedding. We all had great fun!

10 months this week!

It is insane for me to think that 10 months ago I was frantically planning lessons for my maternity leave. I am so glad to not have that to worry about this school year.

Bethany is the proud owner of 6 teeth. The last one finally cut through this last week.

We are thinking her eye teeth are next. Pray for us. I hear they are a doozy!

Here is a picture of yet another newly mastered skill; standing. She has mastered these two skills almost at the same time.
And a short video of her crawling

It's been awhile.

So inbetween August of 08 and now we have had a beautiful baby girl and we are in love! It has been a blast. Here are a few pictures.

This was taken somewhere around 3 weeks old.

And this is at 6 months. Amazing!
